Beachside Apartments

BnB Hub a risk I will never take again. Positive: The actual apartment complex was lovely , but the apartment we booked was not anything to do with that, bnb hub have no connection to the apartments. They just manage individual apartments here and there. Negative: Grab a drink perhaps some popcorn take a seat and strap in for this review, honestly. I booked the Accommodation based on location and some reviews and the pictures of our apartment. I travelled with my wife and three daughters two of which are adults. First there was the hassle of having to drive to a safe box in a different apartment block to collect the keys. Never done that before. Then we arrived at the apartment the complex itself had great facilities and was in a great location. The carpark was good the site was neat and tidy. The apartment however was putrid! I can tolerate a little dirt. But it was filthy. There were pubic hairs in one shower , Black mould under bathroom cabinets,mould in kitchen cabinets.And dust balls a centimetre thick on all fans, the furniture had food stains , the floors were blackening any cloth that touched them. Was in need of calming walk / Hard liquor/Cold Beer anything! After I cleaned the floor and turned aircon on as I was hot and it spewed dust everywhere again . Then there was the ash and rolled cigarettes stuffed between the balcony joins. Many many many butts. So I contacted BNB Hub and explained hey this is definitely not good enough . Also in the main lounge room a window had broken free from Screws that held it shut so it rattled like old Train metal on metal in the wind. They said no Mr Hume and sent me pictures of the apartment. I explained they don’t show me anything? Looked like the pics I chose the booking on. So I asked if they would like to see my pictures and videos. The next day an extremely apologetic cleaner arrived . He was not the person who cleaned initially, he was in disbelief. We had already spent an hr cleaning the day we arrived. There was no choice. It’s nice ,they have a sign in the apartment that states we do not service these apartments please leave them as clean as you find them. I assure you I would never leave anything in the state we found this.

We planned and executed everything we planned to do, timing was tight but we had space and ease. Positive: We came to attend our son's graduation and the accommodation provided us the most appropriate location and the most appropriate apartment type for my wife, myself and my son. It was the perfect choice to prepare for the graduation.

Nightmare, and attempted intimidation tactics by the host. Positive: Nothing Negative: Mould on air con Weeks and smoke butts outside on the veranda Boogers on walls Stains on curtains Window falling out Shower leaked Beds uncomfortable Paint peeling on doors Pillows yellow stained Aircon does not cool room, big industrial fans that sound like an airport• When concerns raised the host was rude and told me to leave the keys and check out, that it was cheap and what did I expect. He has 50 bnb places, despite photos being sent as evidence. We left after 1 night and requested a refund, now claims he offered to send a cleaner in is an absolute lie.

Positive: Spacious apartment Across the road from the beach and Northcliff surf club. Nice pool area. Negative: The cleaners could have done a better job.
